Three-year-old Connect, a Xavier Bloodstock recommended purchase, proved his worth on September 24th by winning the $1.25 million GII Pennsylvania Derby in impressive fashion, defeating a field of elite racehorses, including Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist, multiple graded stakes winner Gun Runner, and Preakness and Haskell winner Exaggerator.

Xavier recommended the purchase at the 2014 Fasig-Tipton July Sale to owner Paul Pompa Jr., who purchased Connect for $150,000.

As a three-year-old, Connect has earned $944,000 while winning 4 of his 5 starts. His win in the Pennsylvania Derby marks his second career stakes win. Back in July, he won the Curlin Stakes.

He is by Curlin and out of Bullville Belle, and is trained by Chad Brown.
