Always Dreaming wins the 143rd Kentucky Derby

Always Dreaming, who Xavier Bloodstock co-purchased as a yearling with agent Steve Young for Brooklyn Boyz Stables, won the 143rd running of the Kentucky Derby on May 6th by 2 3/4 lengths.


The win comes a little over a month after Always Dreaming won the G1 Florida Derby by 5 lengths. 


He is now 4 for 4 as a three-year-old, with his 2017 earnings totaling $2,260,600. He is trained by Todd Pletcher and was ridden by John Velasquez.
